Retreat

just came back from a 3 days retreats.... its fruitful and peaceful.... though leg pain is always a challenge for all meditators in the beginning.... on the 1st day, still can stand the pain but the second was the terrible day for me... though we were taught to radiate metta to myself and other beings, but seems the concentration is not enough to overcome the pain..... on the 1st day, we were instructed to practice metta starting to wish myself happy, safe, peaceful, healthy and take care of myself happily... those were treated just like mantras and regenerate every moment in the retreat... then the second was a vipassana practice then it last till the last day before i left.

personally i felt from a mahayana school of thoughts to theravadas, i think they compliment each others. Mahayana are more into the knowledge of dharma but i found more practical in theravada buddhism though it is just simple and meaningful. for example, by doing metta, wishes all beings and everything around you to be good and happy it helps us to have more compassion and soft hearted.

may i always be with dharma... SADHU SADHU SADHU!
