hardship?

this morning, me and my colleague with one of the UNIMAS lecturer went to collect the questionaire which was sent to the company before Gawai, many of them refused to cooperate and turn us down. thus, what to do, we gonna collect it back and report to our superior.

there are 4 out of 10 companies turn us down due to the reason, their boss is not interested to participate.... sometimes this makes some researcher down when they come to this situation, especially the social science researchers who have to meet up with people to collect data, either the quantitative method or qualitative method. the 1st company that we went is a consultant company, we had called them that we will collect the questionaire back even though they haven dropped any ink on the paper. so, we were welcomed by the receptionist and seated to wait for the documents to arrive to us, but unfortunately she made us wait about half an hour, then when we asked for it, then she just took it out from the drawer, WOW.... AMAZING action from her!~

this was the incident that i first met in my whole life, but when i m in this project, i found out that the culture for the Sarawakian (especially private sector) to get involved in this type of research will be a bit complicated, particulary the Chinese Tauke. Sometimes, its hard to judge whether the reason behind for not coorperating because they are the one who has the power to decide.

pity for Sarawakian Researcher (Maybe only in my field) ... wakaka!~ all the best for me to contact all the companies in Sarawak Region as well as the West Malaysia companies which are willing to participate... if possible, then i will be going outstation to West Malaysia end of this Month....
