The 1st time that i heard about this scientific term is through our lecturer, he talked about the poison dairy product that caused very big impact around Southeast Asia, especially China. The Chinese daily newspaper only stated poison, making me confused about what is the actual compound in Melamine. Now i discover, from the name Melanine--- Melamine is an organic base and a trimer of cynamide, with a 1,3,5-triazine skeleton.
Melamine is combined with formaldehyde to produce melamine resin , a very durable thermosetting plastic , and melamine foam, a polymeric cleaning product. The effect is it can cause fatal kidney stones due to the formation of an insoluble melamine cyanurarte. So scary, many dairy product from China has been banned..... my favourite sweet also 白兔糖。。。。。。*Sigh*
Hai, just wondering why people can do this to the dairy products in order to get rich???
